Michael was born in 1980 in Essen.

Right after school he started working as an intern for several film and tv production companies.

2002 he started an apprenticeship as a film and video editor at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich.

2005 Michael became a student at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg with focus on editing. 2010 he was a member of the Berlinale Talent Campus.

In 2010 Michael moved to Berlin and started full time working as a freelance editor for commercials and feature films.
